Support

Need a hand with InstantShift? We’re here to help. Most questions are answered below — if you’re still stuck, email us and we’ll get back to you within one business day.

Contact us

Email support@instantshifts.app for help with your account, billing, or anything that isn’t working as expected. Please include your business name and, if relevant, the email address on your account so we can find you quickly.

Common questions

  • I didn’t get my invite email. Check spam/junk, then ask your manager to resend the invite from the employee’s profile. Invite links are single-use and expire — a fresh one always works.
  • I can’t set my password. Open the most recent invite link in a browser where you are not already signed in (an incognito/private window is most reliable).
  • My roster looks empty. Your manager may not have published the week yet, or your profile isn’t linked. Ask your manager to confirm you’ve been added and the schedule is published.
  • Clock in/out with the kiosk. Enter your numeric PIN on the shared venue device. Your PIN is included in your welcome email.
  • Change availability or request leave. Use the Availability and Leave sections in the mobile app; your manager is notified automatically.

For business owners & managers

  • Add and invite staff, build schedules from templates, and publish rosters from the web dashboard or the mobile admin screens.
  • Award rates, compliance settings, and Xero payroll connections are configured in the web app.
  • Approve timesheets, leave, and shift swaps from either the web dashboard or the app.

Delete your account and data

You can request deletion of your InstantShift account and personal data at any time. Email support@instantshifts.app from the email address on your account (subject line “Delete my account”), and we’ll process it within 30 days.

  • What we delete: your login, personal profile (name, email, phone, date of birth), availability, leave requests, shift-swap history, and notification settings.
  • What may be retained: employment and payroll records that your employer is legally required to keep for up to 7 years under the Fair Work Act. These are held by your employer (the account owner) and deleted or de-identified once that period ends.
  • If your employer added you: some data is controlled by that business as the account owner — we’ll help route your request to them where needed.

Business account owners can also close the entire organisation account by contacting us at the same address.
